Prenatal Appointments

Prenatal visits are a great way for you to get prepared to breastfeed your little one. During these visits we can make a breastfeeding plan detailing your goals, identifying your support system and steps to take to meet your goals. If this is not your first child and your previous breastfeeding experience wasn’t ideal, we can discuss the past journey and help make a plan for success this time around.

You can also make a prenatal appointment to discuss a medical diagnosis that you might have, especially if it is related to any thyroid condition, PCOS, diabetes or infertility. Previous breast surgeries are also a reason to make a prenatal appointment.

Meeting while you are pregnant can be a great way to answer any general questions about breastfeeding that you might have and a way to establish care in the event that you need lactation support postpartum. Feeling prepared to take on the next phase of motherhood can start with a prenatal appointment.

Home Visits

Your baby isn’t latching, your supply doesn’t seem right, your tired, and you don’t want to drive across town to get breastfeeding help! No need!! I can come to your house and address any lactation related concerns that you have while you sit your comfy chair. Proudly serving areas within 20 minutes of Lubbock. I am happy to travel outside of this range, however, travels fees may be added.

Telehealth

Lactation support using a HIPAA compliant Telehealth system. If time or distance is a problem, we can meet virtually. We can address any issue - latch, supply, or general questions. I understand many families live in rural areas and packing up the family to travel hours to the nearest town is difficult. With virtual care, you can receive the support you deserve without having pack the diaper bag or feel compelled to clean the kitchen!

Office Visits

For families that live outside of 20 miuntes of lubbock and need hands-on breastfeeding help, or if you want to meet at a centralised location, office visits are available. The office is stocked with everything you need to feel comfortable to breastfeed. Your family is welcome to join you - toys are provided for older siblings!

Prior to our visit, I ask that you fill out the intake form. This will allow me to prepare for our time together. During our visit, you can expect comprehensive lactation care. I will take my time getting to know you, your baby and your family. We will spend the duration of your appointment, addressing any concerns that you have. From there, we will make a plan that best suits you. After the appointment, I will equip you with the resources needed to meet your goals. We will schedule follow up appointments as needed.

At Golden Lactation, we believe that every mom and baby deserve breastfeeding support.
